Those following this saga closely were keen to know what livery the Class 466s units would be turned out in. Well the answer is now known - the same as other Networkers of GEC-Alsthom origin (465/2, 465/9 and 466). Here at Cuxton, 466022 is being conveyed between translator coaches on the 5X47 Tonbridge West Yard to Slade Green working on 7th May 2011.

To illustrate the progressive nature of finishing of the livery at depots 465009 was delivered from Wolverton with blue doors and white equipment covers. As seen here on 25th March 2012 it now has midnight blue covers by the changing of covers as the underside above has not yet been repainted! 465004 has similarly had this interim "upgrade". 465009 is leading 465002 into Waterloo East with the 12:24 Gillingham to Charing Cross. photograph by Colin Price |

This variation has fading vinyls on the lower body, but now in midnight blue. Some think they are black but they are definitely different to the window line. Note the equipment covers are white.
