Shepherds Well is the oldest box to close under the East Kent scheme. It is a small London , Chatham & Dover box dating from the 1870s. There are colour light signals on the up line, but semphores on the down. A semaphore shunt signal in the sidings is a rare survivor. photograph taken on 3rd April 2011 |
