' "heritage" 4Vep unit 3417 moved to Wimbledon Depot from Bournemouth Depot on Saturday 9th June. Gordon returned to Bournemouth, piloted by Electro-diesel 73235, as the 5Z50 15+10 Wimbledon Park - Bournemouth working on Wednesday 11th July. The reason for the unit's stay at Wimbledon is not actually known. There were rumours that it was for tyre turning however one month is an excessive duration for this unless it was being done in "down time" between work on capital stock.
