Track Relaying at Wimbledon

A major track relaying project at Wimbledon resulted in significant alterations to South West Trains services during the last four weekends of January 2015. Suburban services normally via Wimbledon , required, for at least part of their journey, bustitution and main line services were diverted via Egham and Chertsey.

Wandsworth Town looking towards Clapham Junction on 10th January, and traffic is defintely busier than on a normal Saturday. 8012 on a Reading to Waterloo working is to be expected, freight is also to be expected, in this case GBRf 66759 on a Mountfield Sidings to Southampton Western Docks working - 14 minutes late, but 450545 with a Basingstoke service is of its normal beaten tracks
