Class 460's to change Train Operating Company?

On 28^th January 2010, Network Rail published a "Route Utilisation Strategies" (RUS) document which contained the following:

    "With regard to the issue of spare rolling stock in the peak, during the production
     of the Draft RUS the bidding franchisees proposals for use of that rolling stock
     were confidential; however it is now confirmed that Class 460 stock will be
     removed from the franchise by December 2010 and will be used to best effect to
     strengthen services on other routes."

There has been much speculation on this topic for some time now, which we have refrained from reporting on until official confirmation. We will keep you informed on any developments that happen in the future.
