There was an interesting working through Tonbridge on the morning of Monday 15th October. It was known that (half) set 373307 was due to be transferred from North Pole depot, Acton, to Le Landy depot in Paris and it was expected to be hauled by one of 's 37/6 locomotives. What appeared, however, was 373307 under its own power hauling a barrier wagon on its rear. It is possible that this is the first time that a half set has ever operated on its own on the mainline.

Now that High Speed 1 is fully open this is the sort of view that is no longer possible - that of a train passing slowly through suburban stations' platforms, in this case Vauxhall with 3007 and 3008 inbound to Waterloo on 6th November 2007.
