Produced for the then burgeoning Trix Twin system this model was also known as the "Portsmouth" . We have been unable to establish further details other than it was introduced between 1937 and 1939. It clearly is not an accurate model of a 4Cor unit, whereas other contemporary models in the Trix Twin range appear to be a better resemblance to the prototype on which they were based.

Hugar models were produced by Hugh Gardner on a cottage industry basis, most of which were wooden scenic items such as goods sheds, signal boxes and stations. Not much is known about this model train resembling Pul/Pan/Cit stock other than it is made of metal and wood.
