Dapol Model Railways have announced a brand new state of the art Electro Diesel model in 4mm scale which they claim will be the height of accuracy as it will be developed from a laser scan of the real locomotive. See-through etched main bodyside and roof grills, sprung buffers, NEM coupler pockets and a host of other fine details will feature. It will also be designed with a PLUx22 decoder interface to make full use of the lighting and sound configurations. The first four models will be: The tooling is being produced to allow for future "JA" versions. The Kernow Model Railway Centre have also announced their first commissioned limited edition version of Dapol's Class 73, K2800 73212 in Network Rail yellow. More special editions are likely to follow. Meanwhile Model Rail magazine has commissioned MR731 73128 "OVS Bulleid" in Civil Engineers "Dutch" livery and Gaugemaster/The Engine Shed, Ford are advertising DAGM100 73101 "The Royal Alex" and DAGM101 73101 "Brighton Evening Argus", both in Pullman livery. |
