Stratford International on 2nd August. Queuing lanes were set up, but not needed, for passengers heading for Kent. Nor were there queues at the St. Pancras end of the station. |

395023 at Stratford International Station showing "Javelin" service branding on 2nd August. This shows clearly that the collector shoes retract when the unit is in AC mode. With the regular High Speed service suspended pairs of class 395 units worked intensive shuttles between St. Pancras International and Ebbsfleet International. A single unit worked shuttles throughout the night. |

It is debateable whether at platform level Stratford International Station has is the ugliest station in Britain or whether this distinction belongs to Birmingham New Street. I will leave it to you to decide whether the unfinished concrete is a design statement or a cost saving. At least Stratford International has far more daylight! . Note the temporarily raised platform level on the outer international platforms to accommodate Class 395 trains. Here 395014 and 395016 call with the 1816 Ebbsfleet International to St. Pancras International shuttle on 7th August. |

On 13th August 395004 and 395017 worked three specials to take The Dutch, French and Belgium Olympic Teams to St. Pancras International for onward travel home by Eurostar. This was the middle of the three trips carrying The French Olympic Team, note some of the team on the escalator to the platform |
