Railway Operations during the Olympics: Charlton for the North Greenwich Arena)
Charlton was the National Rail station for the North Greenwich Arena and was arranged for regular transfers to shuttle buses.

|At very busy times passengers would be directed round to this gate to the up platform, rather than using the footbridge. Portable toilets were provided.|
|The Olympic Games required buses to be leased from all over the country, to shuttle spectators to events and to convey athletes and other members of the "Olympic Family". This Translink Ulsterbus double decker, a Wright Volvo B9TL on hire to the First Group, was awaiting passengers at Charlton. It is normally based at Dungannon.
