Charlton was the National Rail station for the North Greenwich Arena and was arranged for regular transfers to shuttle buses.

The Olympic Games required buses to be leased from all over the country, to shuttle spectators to events and to convey athletes and other members of the "Olympic Family". This Translink Ulsterbus double decker, a Wright Volvo B9TL on hire to the First Group, was awaiting passengers at Charlton. It is normally based at Dungannon. Wright buses area successful industry based at Ballymena in Northern Ireland. |
