East Croydon Redevelopment: Footbridge Sections
The new footbridge at East Croydon was officially opened on 7th January 2013. The bridge isn't finished yet - there is still much to do on the bridge itself and both ends need extending to allow passengers to enter and leave the station.
On 1st February 2013, Lester Hayes again visited East Croydon and provided us with these photos.

The view from the current side entrance on Billinton Hill on the east side of East Croydon station. Eventually, there will be an entrance from Billinton Hill directly onto the new footbridge, which will help ease congestion in the main station concourse. |

A wider view of the entire footbridge from platform 6. Work continues on the footbridge - it seems that most work is concentrated on the lift shafts. |
