East Croydon Redevelopment: Footbridge Stairs In Place
Over the weekend of 15/16 September 2012, the new staircases for platforms 3/4 and 5/6 were installed, along with the temporary stairs from platforms 5/6 to the subway which are extremely narrow.
The Bridge is due to be slid into place in November and open as an interchange in January 2013 followed by the entrance to Lansdowne road in Summer 2013.
Lester Hayes paid another visit to East Croydon on 17th September and sent us these photos of the new stairs in place.
