East Croydon Redevelopment: Footbridge Progress

Visible progress on the footbridge at East Croydon, as seen on Sunday 20th May 2012. Close to the scaffolding that has been erected on the east of the station where the most easterly support is being erected a set of prefabricated steps has appeared. |

On 24th May through a gap in the hoardings on platform 3/4 it can be seen that the steel work for the bridge support is now in place with studding cemented in the ground, suspected for where the steps will be bolted in place. The raised section below the support is to give sufficient headroom on the ramp down to the subway. |
